To address this pressing community need, TutorSmart has been established as the community-wide intermediary with a mission to help children achieve their academic potential by collaborating with existing tutoring providers to elevate the quality of, access to, and utilization of sustainable classroom-aligned after school tutoring in Greater Toledo.
By partnering with tutoring providers and schools, TutorSmart is able to maximize its resources, create sustainability, and reach more students than it would by going it alone. TutorSmart partnerships are synergistic and highly collaborative with effective partnerships that do not duplicate efforts, but rather harness the strengths and resources of each organization to do more together.
To meet the current needs of the children in our community, it is imperative that TutorSmart take a strong leadership role in this space; providing guidance, structure and support in best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness among providers for the success of all children across the Greater Toledo area.
Vision
TutorSmart aims to unite stakeholders around a shared mission, coordinate and maximize after school resources, and drive improvement throughout the after school community. As a citywide intermediary organization, TutorSmart supports the capacity of programs to deliver better-quality programming, coordinates professional development for providers, implements quality improvement efforts, establishes data systems to track youth participation and youth outcomes while connecting programs to one another and to the school day.
